My Lived Experience ~

From the first time I filled in the bubbles on a personality quiz in Cosmopolitan Magazine, I was hooked on the idea of self-development and psychology.  I have spent my life reading, listening and being deeply invested in the concepts of personal development, amassing an almost encyclopedic knowledge of the psychology of change.  I was the go-to person in my personal and professional life often helping others navigate periods of transition, habit change, and self-discovery.

Behind the scenes, while I was professionally successful, I was struggling to understand my own behavior, manage my emotions and relationships.  This felt like a double life - guiding others through transformation while deeply struggling privately.  Eventually the private struggle led to many years of adversity including substance abuse, incarceration, and loss of relationships. My adversity journey has been my greatest opportunity - it is true that the only way out is through.  On the other side of adversity, with over 15 years of sobriety, I have rebuilt my life using the very knowledge and skills I was so good at giving to others.  With the help of coaching, therapy, and my close relationships, I am resilient and committed to ensuring the tools and resources I have are available to as many individuals as I can reach.   The work I do with my clients and in my community is an intentional process to help you discover what’s inside you and learn how to bring that to the world in an authentic way.
